Looking for a yoga training that is anti-racist, trauma and equity informed, transformational, and lineage based? Then Roots of Yoga is for you!
The first goal of this program is to empower the learner with the tools to embody radical self-awareness and the ability to self-regulate their own bodies, minds and nervous systems. The second goal is to transform the "learner" into a "leader" with the ability to facilitate healing, growth and positive change in their communities.
All people are invited to participate in this training with the understanding that we will center the experiences of people of color and other marginalized groups. We aim to both create and model “accessibility” through our weekend training format and pricing structure. Roots of Yoga will exemplify the decolonization of yoga through its authentic scriptural teachings rooted in a 5000 year old Himalayan Tradition of which both instructors are initiates of.
Roots of Yoga graduates will be able to safely instruct authentic group yoga classes and private sessions for a wide range of students; while creating access for underserved and underprivileged populations with a trauma-informed and antiracist approach to yoga practice. Participants who complete all training hours and demonstrate proficiency will be awarded a certificate of completion and will be eligible for “RYT 200” status if they choose to register with the national Yoga Alliance.
