Letter to the Community: COVID-19
Rootead is committed to providing a safe and inclusive environment for our community. We are working hard to navigate Black joy while simultaneously centering the health and safety of each other.
Rootead staff promises to evolve with guidelines as this pandemic continues to unfold, and provide Kalamazoo with events and opportunities to cultivate happiness and healing. We aim to be a "yes" environment where all body abilities can feel comfortable attending our events and know that their health is prioritized.
We have decided to move the majority of our programming virtually on platforms like Mighty Networks, Zoom, GoToMeeting, Facebook Live, and Instagram Live. For the remainder of our in-person programs, here are the actions we are taking: public events hosted outside; sanitation stations at all events; distancing families/audience members 6 feet apart per group, masks required, with placement markers to indicate spacing. Thank you for doing your best to honor yourself and others' health.
